Institutional Focus

The Domanada Foundation works primarily with new, emerging, or moderate sized organizations. Most Domanada Foundation grants grow out of an established relational context. In particular, the Domanada Foundation prefers to make grants when an organization is just getting off the ground, or when it is significantly expanding the scope of its ministry. We do not make grants providing institutional support for larger mission agencies or parachurch organizations. We also do not provide support for individuals or families.

The objective of our financial grant-making to help an organization or ministry accomplish its mission, and in particular, to strengthen its long-term financial viability. This is often accomplished through challenge or matching grants which are intended to deepen or broaden the donor base of a ministry or non-profit organization. In a sense, our objective is to strengthen the financial base of an organization to the point where they no longer require our financial participation. As C.S. Lewis wrote, "The proper aim of giving is to put the recipients in a state where they no longer need our gifts." As a general rule, we do not provide support for ongoing operating expenses, capital projects, personal assistance or financial crises.
